We targeted intermodal growth high-density corridors (like I-95) to shift freight from truck to rail, promoting rail as "The Greener Way to Grow". We framed CSX’s value proposition around sustainability, highlighting that rail moves freight 450+ miles on a single gallon of fuel. This was used to market to companies seeking "green" supply chain options.

Our marketing Increased focus on collaborating with short-line railroads to improve efficiency, improve first/last-mile service, and secure new business opportunities. Establishing CSX as the most fuel efficient and cost efficient way move goods over land and loudly proclaiming to US Industries ,this is “How Tomorrow moves.”
